Figs are now at their prime. They are delicious on their own, but pair them with some cream cheese and cured meats on bread for a light delicious snack. The honey on top brings out all the flavors and enhances them. Choose a nice neutral flavored honey that won’t overpower.
Here is used Thyme honey by L’Atelier du Miel, a local honey producer.

Honey and Fig Bites
A loaf of rustic bread
200g cream cheese or goat cheese
10 fresh figs
100g high quality deli meat; bresaola, chorizo, or any cured meat of your choice
On a hot griddle pan, toast the bread
Spread the cream cheese or goat cheese and top with the sliced figs and meat then drizzle with honey for a punch of flavor
