I have (somehow) completed week 1 of the Buzzfeed Clean Eating Challenge. I’ve been following the daily preparations since last Saturday evening when I bought the veggies and greens, washed them and packed them accordingly. It felt good; less bloated, less stomach rumbling or discomfort after eating, better bowel movements, fewer hunger storms because of stomach satisfaction and a general feeling of well-being.
Salads for lunch? Who said you can’t do that?
I would only take salads as lunch if they have something more than just veggies. I love vegetables but come on. They’re fillers.
When you’re on a diet, you’re asked to eat a lot of vegetables and start your meals with salads not only to increase your fibers intake but to fill you up that you wouldn’t eat a lot more afterwards.
Dietitians. You ain’t taking my main course away. I’m gonna have my salad and I’m gonna eat the main dish too.
Mike has given me a challenge. The challenge came from 2 necessities: one: we were on a tight budget, two, I needed a motive to give me a good start on the blog and create/make recipes.
The challenge came from our daily needs adapting to the month’s limitations. We’re both on vacation, we both have to depend on ourselves, I have a new food blog that I have create material for, aaaand we’ve spent (some) money in the past days that we had to consider giving this month’s limit a good place and use.
The challenge was, as the title hints, to create meals for 2 persons over 5 days for 40$.
