Lemonade and Orange Sorbet

Last month I had the chance to pass by Saida, in South Lebanon, throughout our Clown Me In tour, and see the stalls of the last few citrus varieties before the season is over.

I bought a 20kg crate of beautiful yellow lemons and another of Valencia oranges and got them home. I swear I spent a whole afternoon with a big bowl of water to wash them and the zester to zest most of those lemons and orange and freeze them for later use. I’m grateful for sitcoms and comedy shows that kept me company all day.
But I can’t complain.
It felt good. Relaxed and unwound with the zesty citrus aromas.

During the days of Sprouts, I used to give “lectures” to guests regarding food consciousness. Few were those who are aware of what goes into their food, most of those were the ones who cook.

We have not been very aware of our nutrition except for the past few decades. We have been, and somehow still are, subject to what we’re told to eat and not to. With the rise of ready-made and processed foods, we ate without knowing what is going into the food. It was only until recent times that some of us became aware of what goes into what we’re eating. My 27th Birthday and Orange Chocolate Cake with Ganache Frosting and Candied Citrus

Here we go again! Another year! I am 27 and it is getting the best of me. Last week I was jumping like I’m 26, and now I am suffering from back pain. I bet it is from the long hours at work on my chair in front of the screen and the hours after work, also in front of the screen to get other things done.
