The wonderful thing about this time of the year is the great variety of produce you can get from the market. I go to a nearby shop and buy stuff to get home. On the days where I’m working from home are the best days to experiment. I cook breakfast, lunch, sometimes desert, and even dinner if I’m staying home at night.


I recently received a bunch of basil. The most obvious thing to do is pesto. The first thing to do with pesto is add it to pasta. Then adding cheese. Mexican-inspired Couscous Salad

Mexican inspired couscous salad-1008 It’s the second week of lent. I am not fasting. I haven’t for the past couple of years. But I still remember the time I did. It was hard time even though I only quit meats and dairy and became vegan before I knew it for 50 days once in my lifetime. The rest of the years, the ones when I fasted at least, I would quit meats the whole time, or at least the first and last week, and every Wednesday and Friday. Nowadays, I’m not sure I can (or want to) fast but for sure I can quit certain food. I will when I want to.
