Sourdough Bread Sandwiches, Three Ways

Lent is over and so is my incubation with my  vegan concept Sprouts.
I decided to plant my sprouts somewhere else because the air got a little bit stifling.

It was a pleasure meeting so many people, some of them are followers of the blog and some are followers of the restaurant, while some are curious to know what vegan creations I was concocting. So many recipes prepared, so much pleasure in cooking and seeing hungry people savoring every last spoon of each dish. Continue reading

Asian Slaw with Peanut Butter Dressing, and Bus Rides

Asian slaw with peanut butter dressing recipe - Cookin5m2-2

Another lazy post. Or lazy recipe.

As I usually do, I write recipes I’ve made and posts I want to publish in the notes app on my phone. I write wherever I’m at.

Still skeptical about homemade nut butters?
Here’s another one to try.
The first time I tried peanut butter, I bought a common brand jar. The content was firm like soft cheese and can be scooped, actually cut leaving the spoon clean. I tried it and was not impressed at all. A thick fatty and salty mixture with a very unpleasant taste.
Tasting other brands in giving it another chance got me hooked. But looking at the ingredients, I got concerned. Yes, I read the label. And you should too.
I snapped a few photos of the ingredients of peanut butter jars available at a supermarket. See for yourself.
