I’m trying to come up with ideas for Christmas dinner to share here. Some people go for the turkey or roast lamb. This I will not share now, unless I make mine this Christmas dinner, which up till now I haven’t decided on the menu, and decide to share it here.

I had a basil plant. I bought it for a friend who wished for one. The plant sat at the kitchen window waiting for me to give it to her or for her to come and claim it. In the meantime, it was being well taken care of. Sitting in the shade, enjoying it’s share of water and light and happily photosynthesising and keeping itself green and alive. Up until early December.
I’m writing this letter to tell how much I love you!
Even though you’re bad for me, I still love you and want you. I wouldn’t mind having you at any time, however you are.
How can I begin to describe you. I’ll mention what I like about you: your warmth, your softness, your stiffness, your sweetness, the contrast of your saltiness, your amber color, the way you make me dirty and make my hands, fingers and beard sticky and sweet, and how happy you eventually make me. You make me utter sounds I tend to keep locked away.
I have to apologize for trying to mess with you, for trying to change you. It was a disastrous idea. I should’ve known I wouldn’t get the same result. I messed up and we ended up apart. I, having none of you, and you in the trash can.
I’m not a health freak. Let’s clear that up upfront.
I haven’t studied anything related to food or health. Unless you count reading food blogs and food-related articles. It’s only passion that drives me to cook/bake and blog.
Therefore I’m not going to tell you to eat this and don’t eat that. We can eat whatever we feel like. The trick is moderation & enjoyment. Like, I’ve had cholesterol sticks the other day, fried cheese rolls. They were delicious. I enjoyed them. I didn’t starve myself afterwards, and I didn’t think how shall I burn those calories. I indulged in that stick and allowed it to crunch under my teeth and let its hot filling ooze in my mouth. In addition, whenever I feel like it, and I know I haven’t had lots of fatty food during the day (you see what I did there? Moderation) I treat myself with a chocolate cupcake and let its creamy frosting stick to the bottom of my mustache.
